Wichita, Kansas has recently benefitted from the announcement of several new services.

Allegiant increase LAS to 9 weekly

Delta daily to LAX with EM4

Frontier 3 daily to DEN with DH4

United daily to LAX with CR7

Also, plans for a new terminal have been submitted.

That's nice, I live about an hour from ICT, and commute out of there alot. It would be nice if US/HP would add another PHX flight, those are oversold most of the time!

I agree, I think there is definitely a market for the likes of San Fransisco, Washintgon and New York, maybe even Toronto.

I commute to Wichita on a weekly basis and it is sort of a second home for me. Passenger traffic at ICT is growing nicely. According the Flywichita.com website...

"Wichita Mid-Continent Airport set a traffic record with 151,236 pasengers in June, surpassing the previous record of 145,636 set in June 2004. The record also marks an increase of 10.22% over June 2006 and nine consecutive months of passenger traffic increases at Mid-Continent. For the year, passenger traffic is up 6.22%."


A new passenger teminal would be great. Anyone have a timeline on WAA's decision on whether to approve the new terminal?
