It seems to me that Virgin Atlantic seem to be awfully slow at implementing the new livery across its fleet... does anyone know why this may be? Have they abandoned it ?

Lots of new aircraft that don't need heavy maintenance yet?

I believe the airline is only planning on changing the livery when the aircraft go in for heavy checks. Considering most of their aircraft are very new it could take some time!

My first thought as I opened this thread! At any rate, I've still yet to see a new colors VS plane in real life even though I've been to LAX three times in the last month... Bad luck on my part...

So far, new planes are being given the new livery, ex-Toulouse.

The 343 being returned from Virgin Nigeria to VS I'm assuming will be given the new once over.

Haha. Delta can't move too fast... They save money when a plane still in two liveries ago can skip the old one and get the latest. Although, the current livery will probably be the old in a year or two. Big grin
