I've seen it mentioned that RFD airport is looking to charter planes for service to RSW. Does anyone know what airline or charter company is going to be offering the service. I would say possibly U5 through Apple Vacations, but U5 already serves ORD from RSW. Any thoughts?

Just because Rockford is looking for service doesn't mean it is going to happen. Given that there really isn't a logical airline to start the service right now, as USA 3000 serves O'Hare and Allegiant doesn't fly to Ft. Myers, I don't think they will be successful right now in a search.

This may or may not be the info you are referring to. I doubt if anyone knows which specific airline RFD would utilize to create/test service to attract another airline to take it over if the results were positive.
