KLM Extra Flights From LHR

KLM are introducing two extra flights in September and October 2007.

KL1012 departing 08:15 16th September - 21st October only on a Sunday and
KL1030 departing 20:40 22nd September - 27th October only on a Saturday.

My question is, are these flights only being introduced so that when/if NW/DL come to terminal 4 they will have these slots to use from KLM?

Saturday evening and Sunday morning are very quiet times at LHR - no issues with getting slots at these times
