Some of the Worlds Airlines sponsoring an Heritage flight, like LH with the JU52, SAS with 2 DC3 and TWA/AA with the Connie/DC3 just to mention a few.
But big airliners like BA & SU with a long history of domestic made planes does not have to my knowledge any "heritage flight".
There is an DC-3 in Air France colours but I don´t know if it´s sponsored by AF.
I Would love to see a Breguet Provence or an HP 42 in the Air.

I agree with you!!! Some airlines should have their own "old airliners" to show the new generations how was air traveling during those years. I was involved in 1980 with a TAP retired pilot, Cap. Silva Pereira to find a way to get the only C-47 Dakota flyable from portuguese CAA ( DGAC ) to TAP. The first idea was to get the plane in airworthy condition again, but unfortunately it was very expensive and TAP at that time could not afford that project.....but at least the plane was passed to TAP!!!
The project was to make nostalgic flights in Portugal, from LIS to FAO or LIS to OPO and eventually...around Europe, why not!!! I remember that I asked this Captain who would fly the plane and Cap. Silva Pereira said almost "shocked" - Who will fly the plane??? Me, of course!!! I'm retired but I surely still know how to fly a Dakota!!! - he started flying with TAP in 1946.

AC also has one of their Lockheed 10A Electras restored to like-new condition. It was the type that operated their first flight (when they were known as Trans-Canada Air Lines) from YVR to SEA on September 1,1937 -- their 70th birthday just a little over a month away.

I remember quit well that in 1997 when Swissair celebrated that 50th. aniversary of their first transatlantic flight they leased during a month ( I think ) a SAA C-54 and they actually recreated the same flight from ZRH to JFK. The plane had full 40's livery and it had HB-ILI on one side and ZU-ILI on the other side. Here's one picture of that event..pretty neat the plane!!!

KLM kind of has an historic fleet, though not of it's own. KLM gives financial and material support to the DDA, Dutch Dakota Association and the Aviodrome.
The DDA used to have a DC-3 in KLM colours, unfortunately this aircraft crashed in the sea, and also a DC-4 was flown for some years before being returned to South Africa.
The Aviodrome operates one of the two flyable DC-2's in KLM colours as well as a Constellation.
They also gave the Aviodrome a B747-300 to display on the ground. Imagine if it were to fly!!!

Just one correction -- the commemorative flight to JFK was from GVA, not ZRH, as was the original flight. Longhaul flights and flights with large aircraft were from GVA, not ZRH, until about 1952 when the current ZRH airport opened. Prior to that the older airport's runways weren't long enough. GVA still has the longest runway in Switzerland.
