In the mid-Eighties Pan Am had about 50 Jumbo Jets at once. 747-121s, 747-SP21s and 747-212Bs aquired from Singapore.

Throughout their lifetime Pan Am operated a total of 74 747s at one point or another. In 1987 they operated 7 747-200s and 36 747-100s.
