Will There Be Any New US Customer For The B 747?

I am just curious. How come UAL and NW are the only 747 operators in the US? Will there be any new potential customers? What do you guys think?

yes its sad to know that the 747 is losing customers gradually, hopefully American and Continental will add some to their fleets in the future

Because United and Northwest are the only US carriers that are strong in Asia.

If Delta goes back to flying Asia, you may see some new 747s, but other than that, the 777 offers a better product. 2 engines are better than 4 for economic purposes.

I don't think the 747 is losing its customers gradually. Its just that customers are trying to see if what the A 3XX and the 747X are like.

I am sure the number of 747s will continue to grow and will still be the Queen of the Skies.

Continental, Delta, American Airlines should add some to their fleet if they are going to expand into Asia.

The only airline I can really see buying 747s in the US would be FedEx, with the B747-400F.
