Would Copa Be A Member Of Sky Team By Nov 2007?

Wondering if that would be possible. Someone said by the end of the year CM would be a full memeber. Is this accurate.

China Southern should join this year... though I would not be surprised to see it postponed to 2008. Hopefully 2008 will be the year when MH joins.

Pretty sure it means that they get all the SkyTeam perks (such as priority boarding, check-in, mileage accrual/redemption, etc.) - big thing is they don't get a voting share in SkyTeam and they have to adopt one of the full member's FFP (for example, Copa uses OnePass; Kenya Airways uses FlyingBlue, and I think Air Europa will be using FlyingBlue as well since I think they were affiliated with Air France).

Kenya Airways was using KLM Flying Dutchman as FFP and moved to FlyingBlue when AF FrequencePlus and KLM Flying Dutchman merged.

AirEuropa is using FlyingBlue since June.

I recall reading somewhere that these 3 airlines will be part of the alliance by September. The whole situation is a bit curious as it is more advantageous for these airlines' frequent flyers than for the rest of the alliance.

CM has established commercial alliances with some airline partners in order to expand their reach and global network. Such airlines are: CO, NW, 3M, G3 and P5. Note CO and NW are still enrolled as Sky Team members…

And Aeromexico (AM) is a Sky Team member as well...
