Looks like Primaris Airlines has posted several job openings on their website. Anyone have any info on how they are doing? Are they any closer to obtaining their scheduled service certificate?

I thought they had given up on scheduled service and were just going to do charters and ACMI leases?

When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No-one has ever collided with the sky.

FE cancelled their 787 orders in June 2006. They were the first US airline to order the 787 actually. They currently are flying charter routes for Constellation in between JFK, FLL and Toronto to Georgetown and Port-of-Spain. They are rumored to start scheduled service between JFK and LAX, SFO, and ATL sometime this year.

BTW, their callsign is "Whitecap."

Hmmm. They need to update their site.

We have designed our service around the needs of the frequent business traveler: A new fleet of Boeing's most modern aircraft..

As early as 2009, Primaris will be the first U.S. airline with a fleet of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner - a new airliner for a new world. When it takes to the air, it will be the most modern, comfortable passenger aircraft in the sky - with unique cabin configurations and appointments. All aboard.

The 747: The hands who designed it were guided by god.

From what I can gather on the website..looks like Corporate is in Scottsdale but their main base is going to be in Vegas?

Sure seems that way. Well they seem to have found a good niche in the charter market..no need to jump right into an unprofitable scheduled service operation.

Last I heard they only had 1 757-200.

Now they want to do long haul out of JFK.

Talk about a business plan ten years too late.

Ah well, that makes sense, after all, there's clearly not enough competition between those transcon routes. Should be a real money maker.

They have now three B757. The silver-blue one (N740PA), the orange-red one (N741PA) and a new aircraft (N742PA, stored at GYR). Two B757 will be operate soon for the start-up airline Air Perú International (http://www.airperuinternational.com)

It could be that the colors of N741PA is the livery of Air Perú International.

They've been saying that for several years, and their info on the site had ATL listed as a 2006 destination. According to the out of date route map plans on their out of date site, they're supposed to be flying NYC-London right now

The last press release on the site is dated October 25, 2004 (ignore the 2005 dates on the headings of the press releases).

These guys may just turn out to be another ACMI carrier. If they ever go into scheduled service of their own, I would be surprised.
