I have read online that Terminal 3 at Dubai is due to open in the 3rd quarter of 2007. Considering we are now in the 3rd quarter and we have heard nothing, does anyone know of the delay?
When is it due to open. The current terminal is very crowded and bursting.

I think is will open earlier than that. One of the engineers on site told me it is ready... but I guess they are testing it now. I pass by it almost every day and it looks ready to me!
Could be end of September or beginning of October with an Official Opening in November

Will testing take that long? Wouldn't it be ready for opening in September?

The 1st press release states 3rd Quarter of 2007 and the 2nd Press Release states mid 2008.
If the 2nd Press Release is true, thats a long delay for this project. Would be interesting to know why. Are they not happy with the construction / finish?
DXB is getting a bad reputation for the crowded lounges and terminal. It is now proving difficult to find a seat in the Business Lounges.
EK has an agressive programme of opening new lounges etc around the world, that better is existing hub lounge, surely they must want it open sooner.
