KU 412 26OCT BKK-KWI 0300 0615 = 3 hrs
KU 117 26OCT KWI-JFK 0905 1515 = 6 hrs? no that can't be can it, so must be 30?
KU 102 27DEC JFK-KWI 2200 1925 = about 21 hours
KU 411 28DEC KWI-BKK 2340 1050 = 11 hours
Above is the calculation of flight times made by some dopey girl on a travel forum. I fell off my chair from laughter... just had to share it with you guys.

Well the girl has her math right. I think she should be the one falling out her chair with laughter at your confusion. You're doing your math wrong because you're forgetting the different time zone for departures and arrivals.

Let's See. Keep in mind that all travel schedules are given in local times.
BKK - KWI is 3069 nm and KWI - JFK 5520nm.
BKK is GMT +7, KWI is GMT +3, JFK is GMT -5.
So, 0300 in BKK is 2300 in KWI which will make the flight some 7hrs and 15mins.
0905 in KWI is 0105 at JFK and that would make the flight some 14 hours.
The inverse happens on the return
JFK - KWI departs JFK at 2200 which is 0600 of the following day in KWI, which makes the flight 13hr 25 mins
KWI - BKK departs KWI at 2340 which is 0340 of the following day in BKK, which makes the flight 7hrs 10 mins.

i'm pretty sure he's saying she did the math, he's just reporting it. would help if he put it in quotes. and it would help more if it was put on another forum...

Yes your posting was perfectly clear to me. Not sure why Mexicana757 didn't understand that you were referring to someone else as the source.

If someone could please figure out the address of the dopey girl and let her work out the Continental milkrunner between Guam and Hawaii with six stops crossing the dateline, back and forth please! Should be interesting....
