Hi folks,

Today (11-Aug-07) EMBRAER officially presented the prototype of its first very light biz jet, the Phenom 100, to the public. Presented in CGH at LABACE 2007. Registered moments prior to the official presentation. Kudos to EMBRAER!!!

To me it looks similar to the HondaJet but at a lower unit price.

That is one very sexy plane. Although potential buyers might be turned off by the price increase from $2.85M to $3.4M for those ordering just now.....

"By 7 August, the first aircraft had accumulated 15 flight hours and 41 total operating hours. From 1 July, Embraer raised the price of the Phenom 100 from $2.85 million per aircraft to $2.98 million, although buyers paying a deposit in August will ultimately pay about $3.4 million when they pick up the first available aircraft in late 2011 because of inflation."

The race would be quite exciting against these two other comers.....
