Hi all,

Was just wondering how the recently started Zoom JFK - LGW route is performing ? Also, I have seen the flight has very frequently been heavily delayed (4hrs + ), does anyone know the reason for this ?

All though I don't know how the route is going for Zoom, I could hazard a guess that the reason for the frequent delays at JFK is weather, or 9 planes all scheduled to land at the same time.

I had heard that the LGW-BDA-JFK days were being delayed due to ETOPS problems and different routings

Also latest rumours is that UKZ are taking an interest in CWL-JFK, which would work as LGW-CWL-JFK. Could be a winner!

Thats one of the main reasons, our Premier announced a few days ago that ETOPS approval was given. Then ZOOM announced that they had not received it yet. They then said that they should have it soon, and will shorten the flight time from LGW - BDA by 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Mind you there have been some bad stories in the local press about their delays.

CWL-JFK maybe, perhaps ywice weekly or something, but away in the distance until other options are explored. As for LGW-CWL-JFK, No way, have you seen the website, their flights are full, full FULL!

Two nights in a row they have had to "hot fuel" also seen last week doing the same thing. Rumor is they will have their ETOPS next week..............

I believe it's when you refuel the aircraft with the engines still up and running - hence 'hot'.
