I am flying into San Francisco today on Continental. I was wondering whether anyone could tell me where CO operates from at SFO and whether the gate/
check in areas are nice.

CO seems to fly 757's and 737-800's from EWR, 737-300's and MD80's from
IAH, and 737-700's from CLE.

Anyone have a clue as to the size of CO's SFO operations? Where do they
rank, compared to NW, HP, US, and TW?

Where do they rank? Small.

They fly 737s and maybe 757s into SFO... nothing to write home about. Continental is inthe South Terminal, gates are in B Concourse. Considering what a shitty area B concourse is, CO has done a reasonably nice job making their gate areas look halfway decent. Nice check in counter, with bag belt that is flush with the floor (wish we had that at DL!) and new computers.

CO ground handles F9 and ramp handles AC, AZ, and several other carriers. Very profitable.

I see CO 752's, 738's and MD80's on a regular basis at SFO. I believe they fly to EWR and IAH to feed CO's long international flights.

IAH-SFO is currently flown by 757s, 733s, MD-80s, and one DC-10. Actually SFO will have the DC-10 on this route through March 12th when it switches to a 767-200.
