Question About Emirates Routing

I am planning to make a trip to Thailand in the near future. From there I will be making a short hop to Dubai. On the way to Dubai or the way from Dubai I'd like to make a stopover in Sri Lanka. However while browsing the EK website I noticed that only Singapore flights get the stoppover in Colombo. Is that so, or do BKK flights get that one too? What about EK flights out of Kuala Lumpur?

One more question. Emirates website is promoting something called a Dubai Stopover where they offer you a package deal. Is that a good deal or would it be cheaper to make your own arrangements?
Thank you for your replies.

If you are really keen on making a stopover @ CMB look into Srilankan. Emirates owns a part of them and UL has the same FFP (Skywards). Pretty decent connections too.

All BKK-DXB sectors are non-stop, as some of these services continue on to HKG from BKK. So no CMB stop from BKK
UL operates BKK-CMB, but this is not an EK codeshare flight, so you may not be able to link it on a single ticket.

all EK flights KUL-DXB are non-stop, HOWEVER, EK does codeshare on EL flights KUL-CMB, so this is probably your best bet...

EK does not code share on UL flights between KUL-CMB but they do so on SIN-CMB

?

MTW***S 1:55p KUL M 5:05p CMB *EK 6174 1-Stop 332 5:40 Effective Oct 28

Looks to me that they do codeshare KUL-CMB!
