Hi. everyone,
I currently have an American PPL but am looking at getting my commercial here in SA, does anyone have any thought about the best school to go to, is it worth getting an instructors rating? What is the real situation with getting an job in aviation in SA?

Hi there,
Well I have had a few dealings with airschools in SA and I can definately say that either George or Port Alfred (43 Airschool) are the best to attend. 43 Airschool is the biggest of the two and both offer fantastic instructors and a relaxed vibe, not to mention George was listed as one of the most scenic places to fly in South Africa (some say the world). Port Alfred is not too bad either. Both are similarly priced as far as I know. Hope this helps and there may be other places in the North of the country that I have not come across but may well be good too.
