straight to the point. WN is returning back to SFO Aug 26( the date may be incorrect) but the main questions is will WN send a special aircraft (paint scheme, etc) for the first flight? And do you expect there to be as much fanfare as it was for Virgin America first flight?

Dear WN,

Send California One to SFO on the Aug 26th first flight back! That should do it!

Signed,
SFO and 99.9% of A.netters.

PS...California Two should look fitting on a 73G!

California one would probably be the one, it just makes sense

It would be cool to see California One landing. It will be a big welcome to people of California. It would be great if President of WN and Governor of california aboard WN too.

On their first day in TPA I remember seeing at least 2 Shamu's (this was pre-73G so there were three of them) and I believe Shamu also did the first RDU-TPA flight so SFO spotters have a good chance of seeing at least one and probably multiple special schemes. I agree that California One would make the most sense though.

Herb (who was still President at the time) wasn't here the first day and I remember being surprised and slightly bummed about that. I think there is more of a chance of Gary Kelly being there than Colleen. As for the Governator, that sounds like something he would do so I would not be surprised to see him on the first SAN flight.

It's not the first flight's arrival, or a new airline, or a brand new destination, and they fly to OAK. Just my .02

But WN flies throughout CA already. And again, they fly right across the bay to OAK.

And yes, CALI 1 would be pretty cool

OMG that made my day, wow!
