This has probably been covered many times before, and apologies if that's the case:
Does anyone know how BA's getting on with the refit of their fleet with the New Club cabins? Any indications of when they are hoping to start on the 777's?
next flights: BA1441 0566 0581 1446 EDI-LHR-MXP-LHR-EDI

Quoting Geo772 (Reply 1): o word yet on when the 777 fleet will be upgraded
Just heard from a engineer friend that BA have run into a slight problem and that is that the seats dont fit in a 2 4 2 config in the forward cabin of the 777 due to the way it narrows at the front of the cabin

I guess that would only effect the 3 class 777's? The 4 class should still be fine.
Perhaps we will see WT+ in front of club on the 3 class 777's? (ie like the mid J 744's)

I know there will be 777s ready by November as the buggers have just changed my seat to JFK and the first row is now 13 rather than 10.
Just travelled back in FIRST on a Mid J from Hong Kong... Really wierd vaulting over a rope thru WT+ to see a friend 'down the back' in Club, with ogre like attendants guarding the club larder!

Quoting JonnyWishbone (Reply 8): BA113 to JFK definitely New Club World on November 15th. Unless anyone knows of a 777 with old club and Row 13 at the front of J rather than Row 10
The BA 113 is a 747 on the 15th Nov.
The first 777 will not be converted until Feb 08. No question.

My mate is flying LHR-HKG in November - WT+ on the way out and CW on the way back. Will she get new Club World?
Also is there any way I can pay for or arrange an upgrade for her on her LHR-HKG leg as a birthday present? She is a loyal VS customer but I urged her to try BA as they would have the new Club World - she flies long-haul at least once a month to the US, China and Japan but hasnt flown BA for about ten years. I hope she has a great flight as it would be a shame to see her go back to VS!
What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

You're right... Doh! Despite the fact the website and aircraft layout says 777, there's an upper deck! So i'm either in comfort on a 747 or bloody cold on the roof!

Does anyone know when all of the 747's will be converted? My Mother and Father-in-Law are flying to SYD in Club on 01Oct and returning on 28Oct. Ive pretty much advised them that they should get the new Club although some old Club cabins maybe kicking about still

Flew LHR-PHX and back in First class and both times (G-CIVL out and G-BNLW back) the 744's had the mid J layout and the new AVOD and it was very good I have to say.

Late this year, probably October or November time so they'd be almost guaranteed to get new Club, in fact they'd be very unlucky if they didn't get new Club.
Quoting EISHN (Reply 5): Are BA still planning to upgrade First as well? I thought they were planning to upgrade First and Club at the same time?
Yes, BA are going to upgrade First Class once the new club world roll out is complete, so new First Class (last time I heard) was due in 2008, at some point..during 2008 that is.
Quoting ANstar (Reply 3): I guess that would only effect the 3 class 777's? The 4 class should still be fine.
That would be correct.
Quoting BAOPS777 (Reply 4): After the number of complaints the Mid J has received I dont think so.
They only really receive complaints from F passengers (I guess they do matter but still) who have to go past the minions if they leave through the second set of doors or battle their way through with WT+ and the rest of the plane if leaving through the first set of doors, but I flew F in the Mid J and left through the second set of doors at PHX and the first set of doors at LHR, and I had no big complaints.

Well, if you can get here details you can go on manage my bookings on BA.com and upgrade her there, but that'll come up on her credit card bill, so I'd say the best option is to ring BA..
