Just wondering, as I can't really tell from the airport map, if you arrive T8 and depart from T9 (or vice versa), do you have to clear security at each terminal, or is there a bypass for connecting passengers?

Ah, thanks. Interesting that they don't have some sort of terminal connector in place. That must be pretty inconvenient for folks arriving from SJU/MIA at T8 and departing on an Eagle commuter flight from T9 then.

Beleive me when I say this...they (AA) say all arriving and deprating flights arrive through T8 ...IT IS THE FURTHEST FROM THE TRUTH! In my last 3 flights to SJU, we were supposed to leave from T8, it never happened. Their signage outside the terminal..almost demanding passengers to check in T8 is inaccurate. If an inbound flight from SJU or MIA contains lots of passengers making connections, you can bet they will bring the bird into T9. My parnters inbound flights have been changed 12 times in June and Aug to T9, this was from either SJU or MIA. The poor people who get directed to check-In in T8 have to sometimes run to T9 to get thier planes.

It's pretty easy to do this though...With that covered walkway thing or whatever it is, it really isn't a far walk. I've checked in at T9 to be told that my flight is leaving from T8...It adds a few minutes to your walk, but nothing serious. Heck, it's probably easier to walk from T9 to T8 then it is to walk from T9 checkin to the furthest gates in T9!

Quoting AAJFKSJUBKLYN (Reply 8): I really cant understand why they dont have a bus from T8 and T9 in the secure area. The same thing goes for AA at LGA, between the D & C Concourses.
Probably just don't bother due to the (relatively speaking) small number of connecting passengers between T8 and T9, and T8's imminent closure.
Same for LGA, although I'd think they'd conside something there since the only Admiral's Club is after security in Concourse "D" - I don't know if AA is able to issue any sort of pass allowing Concourse "C" passengers to access the Admiral's Club. LGA has occasionally arranged for a bus to take people from "C" to "D" so they can run passengers through the "C" security checkpoint if "D" is overloaded.
