Fairly disturbing if it is not staged... How much jail time can a pilot get if caugt for something like that?

First off what makes you think he's drunk...? Because he threw up...?? So what...I've eaten bad wings at Hooters before and was hurling for a solid hour....and he tripped...?? again, so what. I don't remember being to sure footed on my way back to bed that same night and he's not even looking where he is going.. Fake or not.... don't assume

Exactly. Notice he is carrying one bag, and after he trips there are two. Anyone can trip over a bag. Especially after they just puked and are not concentrating on walking and more on getting cleaned up.

And the Man Show clip is funny. Who was it here that was talking about walking around with your arms out and making noises with your lips?

Sick or drunk, if he cant walk i dont think i would want him flying the plane. Lets assume he is drunk though, (hypothetically), can he get Jail time even if he does not cause an accident or incident?

Ah,,, YES... just look at what is going on with the ASA Flight Attendent right now.......!!! plus what happened to to American West pilots a few years back when they were arrested.........and I'm sure there have been others. Now being sick is a whole other story, but no pilot in his right mind would work that sick. Again... just because he tripped doesn't make him unsafe.......

He looked like he was walking fine to me. Just that he was not looking where he was going and tripped over a bag!

The reason was to show how easy it is to stage disturbing/funny video clips and put them online and to track how quickly they spread, or something along these lines. There was also that video with the lady trying to refuel her car, if you can remember Big grin

I have to agree. There's nothing in the first video that indicates that the pilot is drunk. However, I would still consider it disturbing if he jumped into an aircraft - feeling like that would not make him a good pilot no matter the reason.

The second video was hilarious and no doubt very funny to watch, but it has some rather serious aspects of it as well. I cannot honestly say I think it is a good thing to show drunk pilots in an airport, even if it's a prank. There are many people that are afraid of flying and those pilots, funny or not, would certainly not help. And consider the fact that there has been commercial pilots caught drunk at the gate, on the verge of risking many lives.

Still, can't stop laughing when I watch the second video.  Smile

lol I love the part where she's crawling on the ground. Good thing they removed her from the plane.

Prepare for take-off.

BlueSkys:

Is it all you have in your head? You know, pilots CAN get sick after eating something or just because they have a bug. After throwing up...Hello!!!!! you can loose your balance quite easy as you loose energy fast.
If getting drunk is a normal thing for you, you are giving something good like wine a bad name because of all the ABUSERS!
Before posting something like that again THINK before doing so!

This is true. That video of the woman trying to refuel her car even made it to another TV show of another channel showing funny internet clips. Both (the pilot and the woman) were fakes produced for TV. I saw the making-of.

Why is 10 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9.
25 Post contains images FraT : True, now I remember.
26 Ellehammer : Well, here is the ever-popular ORIGINAL drunk pilot!!
27 BlueSkys : Yes, thats all i have in my head.. You read me right Mr. Dumb Dumb...... I dont care if he is drunk or sick, would u want him flying your plane?
28 BlueSkys : Puking then tripping does not make him unsafe? Wow, being a pilot, i guess makes me have a messed up knowledge of what is safe or not.....
