Hey Gang,
Is there some nasty weather at JFK tonight?
I was at my son's football practice, on the west shore of the Susquehanna, just south of MDT, when I spot something a bit unusual coming our way. Overhead, on final was a UA (new color) 757!
After getting home and checking in on FlightAware, I see that it was inbound from SFO and was diverted to MDT.

Looks like a few more unexpected visitors to our little under utilized airport.

Check this one out!

Looks like a little lost orphan!

My glass is neither 1/2 empty nor 1/2 full, rather, the glass itself is twice as big as it should be.

Here in ALB, we also had a diverted UA 757 that came from SFO, didn't figure out its actual destination yet.

That would be UAL 6, SFO-JFK.

Looks like we had 2 UA 752s.
UA892 SFO-JFK diverted to MDT, now en route to JFK.
UA24, LAX-JFK, diverted to MDT, now en route to JFK.

I noticed an E170 on approach from my house around 17:00 with what looked like DL livery. I thought maybe we got an upgrade from those crammed CRJ's!!! On the way to HBG I went past MDT and I noticed it sitting outside A1. Too bad it was a diversion. Wish I could have seen the 752's, I should have gotten home sooner!

Here In SYR we also had a few like a DL 752 that was painted in Song colors enroute from SAN to JFK (I know that it was painted in Song Ccolors becuase I saw it coming around to land). According to flight aware a Virgin America A320 from SFO, a B6 A320 from LGB, and a DL 738 from PHX also diverted to SYR. BTW I looked at Google maps and saw that current view of MDT now shows the current terminal as it is now.

That would be Delta 424... currently en-route to JFK from SYR.... looks like they spent a few hours in SYR... not on their way to JFK but doing circles in the sky before they get there.......

11 hours from PHX-SYR-JFK... ouch....

Doing a quick search on FlightAware it looks like 2 757's, 3 E170's, and a couple of RJ's all diverted to MDT yesterday. Sorry I missed it!!
