Where Did NWA DFW-LGA Go?

Hi there. I was trying to book flight from DFW-LGA nonstop and I remember I read something that NWA is (was?) going to fly nonstop from DFW to LGA sometimes in Sept. But I could not find the flight(s) on nwa.com.

Are they still going to fly that route ? or they have already canceled it??

I did try to set the date all the way into Nov. But nwa.com is still showing flights thru DTW and/or MEM, which I may actually like it since they have DC9 on one of those legs... but a non-stop would be nicer.

OK, as said above, the flights are in the system beginning November 4, but they have zero available seats and zero seats booked. I guess NWA had second thoughts on the service, at least for now.

Well, well, big surprise. Apparently the geniuses in Eagan finally wised up and realized what stupid, inefficient and wasteful futile effort the whole DFW-LGA joke was. Now they can get back to the business of running their own airline as effectively as possible, starting with combating new AA competition on their LGA-MSP route.

Interestingly enough - though it might just be on my computer - when you scroll back through Northwest's archived press releases from this year (available here), and click on the press release for the DFW-LGA announcement (dated 15 June 2007), it now links to the next archived press release, announcing Northwest accept PayPal payments, dated 28 June 2007. Coincidence? Interesting...

Probably not. There is the usual boiler plate that they make no effort to update past news releases...use at your own risk. Besides, I have had the same thing happen on non airline sites. Bad webmastering perhaps?
