This thing has been flying over OKC all day today. I've checked flightaware and cannot find anything on it. Not even sure what type of aircraft it is, and sorry, I know the pic is bad but I only have my pocket digital camera on me and its latest path was further west of my place. I checked Wiley Post Airport on Flightaware.com and don't see anything that it would be, and I also checked OKC out on flightaware and see nothing. Seems like an odd day to be doing any sort of display for the aircraft. It has a yellow tail. Anyone know what it is? Does it have anything to do with the flooding west of OKC?

And I make three.

I wonder is somebody is doing some flightseeing.

I know the Collins foundations sells trips on theirs.

It's still flying....I just heard it go over my house again a few minutes ago. Must have gotten off to a rocky start this morning with the weather, maybe that's why they are doing flights now. Though, it's getting pretty cloudy and dreary looking again here in OKC.

Anyone know if they are taking passengers around? They will have plenty to look at to their west towards Kingfisher right now.

I have heard that you can take rides on B-17's and other WWII military aircraft. It's done by previous arrangement and it's terribly expensive.

It will be done locally in the Houston area this November. I think you get a ride around the pattern for $425.00 or something like that. It's about a 20 minute long flight. And only a very limited amount of people will be able to partake in this activity due to the size of the aircraft.

There are several groups around the country that do this sort of thing:

And where to go for a historic aviation experience in an aircraft of your own choosing:

An interesting article about these B-17 rides:

And if you want to take a ride in a DC-3, here is where to go!

I flew on the Prairie Aviation Museums DC-3. Very nice, quieter than I would have expected. The crew was great! Most of them worked for UPS.

As pointed out above, I think, this organization is scheduled to be in Oklahoma City on August 18 and 19:
