Delta L1011 On ATL-MCO And MCO-ATL

I'm planning to fly LGA-MCO-LGA via ATL on Delta in March. I definitely want to fly ATL-MCO-ATL on a L1011. Is there any Delta people here who could confirm that this plane will be flying still in March? Or will they all be replaced w/764s? At least flights 867 (ATL-MCO) and 622 (MCO-ATL) are listed as TriStars. currently they operate w/763 and should switch to L10 in Feb. Will you switch it to L10 or directly to 764?

This has nothing to do with your flights but I would just like to note that Delta amazingly offers almost 4,000 seats between ATL and MCO each day. There are 1 M11, 2 L10, 1 777, 3 764, 4 763, 1 752, 2 738, 3 M88!

Also be flexible: Delta has lots of changes of equipment on the last moment. I had the problem in July; I especially took a ATL-FLL flight as my tribute to the L1011 but when checking in it appeared to be a MD-88 instead due to low demand. But even while my ticket was non changeable, they were happy to change my flight to the next Tristar one in the afternoon. So take an early flight when more L1011s are scheduled that day, so you can wait on that one if the first has changed so other equipment.

Airplanekid2 is right.... You can fly almost the whole Delta fleet between Atlanta and Orlando... Lotsa fun!

Lufthansa747, I looked up availability for 20 March ATL-MCO. According to Deltamatic, flights 349 and 867 will be operated with an L-1011.

DLSFO, do you know if the retirement date is still August, and which direction the flight will be in (MCO-ATL or ATL-MCO)?, Also I want to get a ride on the MD-11 on either my way back or my way there (whichever the L1011 will be on) Thanks,
