If anyone wants to catch a ride on the new EK 77LR which is about to be delivered then it will be flying on EK009/10 DXB-LGW throughout September, then it will alternate between GRU and once per week to ICN come October.

Configuration 8/42/216

Be interesting to see how long crew will get for the layover in IAH, with block times of 17.05hrs DXB-IAH hope it isnt trimmed to the bone like 203/204 DXB-JFK at 24hrs layover not taking into account transfers and waiting around etc essentially 21 hrs rest between two 14 hr sectors.

New Routes

Emirates is set to launch services to Houston, Texas - its second destination in the United States starting 3rd December 2007. The non-stop service between Dubai and Houston will initially operate three times a week, increasing to a daily service from 1st February 2008. Emirates will fly its new Boeing 777-200LR on the route. When launched, the Dubai-Houston non-stop service will also be Emirates’ longest flight – clocking 17 hours flying time to North America, while the shorter return journey will be at just over 15 hours

EK211 Departs Dubai (DXB) at 09:05 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and arrives in Houston (IAH) at 16:10hrs

EK212 Departs Houston at 18:25 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and arrives in Dubai at 19:35 hrs the next day

This route for EK should do very well. Good to see they already have a time table set for increasing the service to IAH.

If it is only 3 times a week.....the at least at the beginning they will have at least 2 days to get some Goode Company BBQ
