Anyone know what the 737 parked near the old Northwest Airlines hanger at Atlanta is all about? It has been there for years in different positions and even was gone from that area of the airport for a year or so. I noticed it back this past week and was wondering if anyone knew what this plane was or why it's parked there.

It's the old AirTran737 that lost hydraulics upon landing a while back. When 10-28 opened up the airport moved it over to Delta North (the old Eastern hangar and current ASA hangar). About two months ago they moved it back to the NW hangar. The ATL fire department uses it for training IIRC.
Nice Trip Report!!! Great Pics, thanks for posting!!!! B747Forever
