Attached is an excerpt from Reuters:
RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Brazilian airline TAM on Tuesday instructed its pilots not to land at Rio de Janeiro's domestic airport during rainstorms, seven weeks after one of its planes crashed on landing in Sao Paulo in wet weather.
The oceanside Santos Dumont airport in downtown Rio receives local flights, mainly from the Rio-Sao Paulo shuttle route used by business travelers. A total of 26 planes had been scheduled to land on Tuesday.
A spokesman for TAM Linhas Aereas (TAMM4.SA: Quote, Profile, Research)(TAM.N: Quote, Profile, Research), Brazil's leading airline, said planes would be redirected to Rio International airport during rain.
Looks like the airlines are not going to take any chances. This has got to be a scary airport to land an A320 or a 737 on. Maximum brakes please!!

TAM and GOL are doing this, for a week or so thus far (according to Folha Online). TAM has only restricted landings during rain and GOL all ops altogether.
