The link provided earlier is an old one, from the time they were operating Yak-40's.
Herewith some up-to-date information:
Quote: APA - Douala (Cameroon) A new airline, the National Airways Cameroon (NACAM), will on 17 July inaugurate its activities, the company's managers told APA on Thursday.
With a capital of 500 million CFA francs CFA, NACAM is a joint venture between the defunct National Airways Cameroon (NAC) and Transworld, a Belgian service corporation.
The newly created airline "plans to serve the national network and the central African sub region", the chairman of the board, Louis-Marie Assene Nko said.
At the national level, NACAM will serve not only major cities such as Douala and Yaounde, but also the northern and eastern regions of the country where the means of communication are still poor.
Except Douala and Yaounde, the state-owned airline (CAMAIR) suspended its internal flights several months ago.
"We think there are real possibilities, all we need is to establish customer loyalty", NACAM officials said.
On the regional level, NACAM plans to serve the member states of the Economic and monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), - Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic and Chad- as well as Nigeria, which is a West African country.
According to the promoters, 51% of NACAM's shares belong to some Cameroonians while the Belgian company has the 49% remaining shares.
Announcing that they own four Boeing 737 aircrafts, the managers of the new airline added that they "have hired experienced pilots and maintenance staff including foreigners to handle the technical and navigation aspects".

Air CEMAC is supposed to start flying in March 2008 as well.

Finally, they started talking about Air CEMAC back in 2001 or so. I read that instead of RAM, Brussels Airlines is now providing (technical) support. Is this project somehow related to the new Air Gabon?

It is not correct what this news agency is reporting. A colleague of me flew from Maroua in northern Cameroon to Douala this week on a CamAir flight. The service was operated with a F28 from Air Service Gabon.

No it's unrelated to Air Gabon...that seems to just be a nepotism/project of the President's son. I started a thread bout it here but no one cared

Still, I think that Cameroon could very well use a decent carrier next to (state-owned) Camair. Isn't Camair virtually gone down? They have only one B757 left, if I'm correct.

So will Gabon be committed to this project, if they have their own Air Gabon/Gabon Airlines?
