El Al is adding a third frequency on LHR - TLV on monday mornings, flight LY314. The flight will leave at 8:05 in the morning and be on 767 a/c.
This a/c will arrive from TLV on Sunday night at 2235 as LY313 and will overnight in LHR til the 8:05 next morning departure.
This will be on the older 767 (non- ER) LY has in its fleet, that were fitted last year with new 55' angled lie flat seats (as opposed to 60' pitch on the rest of the 767 fleet - 762ER and 763ER.)

BTW - I think we have already discussed this, but they have also added another weekly frequency to Beijing, Bombay, Jo'burg (each will have 3 weekly flights) and plan to add MIA (i think goes up to three) and LAX (will have 4).

Winter: 3 PEK, 4 BOM, 4 JNB, 3 MIA, 5 HKG (in all a weekly flight was added vs. last winter)
LAX stays with 3 weekly but goes to 5 weekly from March.

BTW - The added LHR flight.
LY has 12*2 slots at LHR. This flight was usually the VDA flight.
Anyway, it will be operated like you said with either EAA or EAB which we will see flying a lot less this winter thanks to the arrival of the 2 new 777s.

Will LY use the winter tu upgrade the rest of the 772's to the standards of the new plane? I think the 744's will first be redone next year in autumn no?

Could this possible be related to the other El Al thread high up on A.net right now?

If El Al were looking to do Trans-Atlantic codesharing with AA, which would almost certainly involve Heathrow, an early morning departure ex Heathrow, especially on a peak day like Monday morning, would make a lot of sense to meet inbound connections to London from U.S. red eyes. Hmmm...interesting...

A good point is raised there, it would certainly make sense if LY would go into a extensive codeshare agreement with AA to route passengers via their mini LHR hub for various destinations such as MIA, LAX (on days LY doesnt fly themselves make codeshare) and another codeshare agreement that is always in effect to all other destinations to the USA from LHR besides to JFK. For all other destinations not served from LHR codeshare agreements need to be set up from all USA destinations LY flies too.

I dont think BA - AA's Oneworld partner will be happy with that.

I kinda of got mixed up with the numberrs, the point was that they all have one more frequncy than last year.

Do you have the schedule for the 777 refurbishments?

it probably is quite unrealistic to have mini hub for LY connecting flights at LHR. LY would also benefit more to bring the passegers over the pond and first let them out of their hands from their USA Destinations, they will make more money compared to just having them fly passengers to LHR for some flights.

that's good news. In the last months(or even years), these two a/c were flying so much (and they are so old, too)! I can add that LY should withdraw them simply from the fleet!

4 JNB, 3 MIA

Wow, I am surprised that LY now has more flights to JNB than MIA. I would have thought that demand to MIA is higher than JNB, and that MIA is a more profitable route than JNB. Does LY still fly to YYZ four times a week? If so, LY deploys the 762s four times a week to both YYZ and JNB. Any explanation why JNB is suddenly doing so well?

I actually think they always had the demand, but now the have the equiptment to offer the JNB flights more often.
In the past the flight was actually operated with a 742 and 744.
