JetBlue's flight 1052 PIT-JFK experienced "hot brakes" when it landed at JFK and could not taxi to the gate on its own. JetBlue attempted to have their tug go out and tow it to the gate, but the plane then blew two tires and is totally disabled.
JFK is already in a Ground Stop and it is now expected to get worse this evening.
Worst part about flight 1052 is that it already was delayed 5 hours departing Pittsburgh due to the inbound A/C going out of service in PIT.
Sounds like a long day for the folks of flight 1052 and the folks at JFK tonight.

It is extremely difficult to operate at JFK under these circumstances (GS and volume) with 4L/22R OOS. Look for arrivals this evening on 4R/22L, and possible departures on 31R/13L for the first time in awhile.
