Spoke with my parents, who live in the Texas panhandle town of Borger, and they reported that a small private plane was forced to make an emergency landing on the north end on Main St. this afternoon. No definate details, other than the plane's occupants were being treated for unspecified injuries. The airport is located on the north end of town and the area of the incident was about 1 mile south of the airport. Will post more as I hear reports.

The report is that the pilot and his 16 year old son, who were from Ft. Worth, lost power and were trying to make it to the airport, but clipped some power lines and then struck the carport of a home in the residential area where the plane went down. The news is reporting the 16 year old sustained a broken wrist and his pilot / father had more serious injuries and was hospitalized in ICU, but they do not feel that his injuries are life threatening. Both are VERY LUCKY.
