QATAR Airways has introduced a third A300-600R which will increase its cargo destinations to 16 from the present nine.
The new destinations are:
Algiers,
Tunis,
Milan,
Istanbul,
Karachi,
Colombo
AND NEWEST: Johor Bahru in Malaysia.
They supplement other destinations already in the network – Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Khartoum, Dubai, Nairobi, Bangalore, Chennai, Lahore and Dhaka. Although I often see QR in Sharjah also.

Is this a new plane to their fleet, or converted from one of their old pax version?

Quoting OHLHD (Reply 3): Yes, A7-ABX is an former QR pax A300. I flew on it from DOH to ZRH.
Correct.
Qatar Airways Cargo has converted all of the ex Korean Air A300s into AB6F's:
A7-ABX (ex. HL7536)
A7-ABY (ex. HL7294)
A7-AFB (ex. HL7298)
The ex. Garuda and China Northern A300's will head towards FedEx once they have left the fleet. The A300s are now planned to leave the fleet in mid-2008.

In other news; the first two 773ERs will join the fleet before the year end. A7-BAA and A7-BAB will be the first Boeing's for the new QR. The designation code will be B777-3DZ/ER.

The DOH-IAD route will be upgraded to the B77W once they arrive, as the A346 will be transfered to other routes, including a DOH-LHR flight.
Looks like the Doha-Washington sector is really booming!

Quoting 777way (Reply 8): Former registration at ch-aviation.ch is being shwon as F-WQTO and not A6-EKL
The aircraft in discussion has been registered as F-WQTO since 24th May 2007. The aircraft is still in the C18 - Y177 configuration that it was whilst at Emirates as A6-EKL.
