Amazing video clip. Do you know when the ad aired? It looks straight out of the late 60s or early 70s. I doubt such a suggestive ad would pass muster these days.

For those of you with computers that don't have media player capability, the video shows a female flight attendant (probably called a stewardess back then) taking off outer layers of clothing to reveal the various uniforms she would wear during different times of the flight, all the while accompanied by stripping music. The male commentator calls her a "girl" at least once, I believe.

Avilitigator, the site explains it in great detail. I think it was in 1966. The original Braniff (there were revivals of the name, just like there is with Pan Am now) always called their female F/A's hostesses.

Real Player doesn't pick it up for me. I wonder if either TV Land or Nickelodeon play it during one of their retromercials. They've played old Braniff commercials before.

Thanks for sharing this information, Zanadou and Stratifier. I checked out the braniffinternational website and it's a riot. I was born in the 60s but didn't hear too much about Braniff, although I flew PanAm and TWA a lot when I was a child.

It was fascinating seeing the Braniff 747 on the website -- fitted with the lounges and amenities now being considered for the A380.

Yeah, 747 Braniff Place is typical of how 747-100s were used in the early 70s. Almost every operator had that kind of lounges on the upper deck.

It's always a good pastime imagining what Braniff would be if it's still around today. It may have been just another major airline, or it could've been a larger Virgin Atlantic of sorts...
