Err sorry if I missed something but isnt that what most airlines do day in day out?? Have things gotten so bad at US Airways that checking in a bag in MSP and seeing it on the carosel in PHX is some kind of an achievement
Earlier this year, an organized group of longtime US Airways frequent fliers threatened to take their business elsewhere because they were fed up with the airline's poor service.
Hardly surprising really . I had never had a bad J class service across the pond until last year when I endured Envoy Class.
He has his work cut out !!! I do hope he succeeds as US Airways could be a decent airline if they have a major overhaul. Domestic F needs major attention with decent catering on all flights over an hour. Not just a cookie basket that B6 gives you anyway in Y !!!

Cool. Looks like maybe he will be a commuter from MSP. Or, maybe not. Hopefully he has insight into exactly the customer experience issues US has. Don't get me wrong, US has the tools to do everything right. They just need good "software" from executive policies, investments (at airports and inside aircraft), people training. If the guy knows what he is talking about, US will get a lot of benefit from him.
Also worth noting that Al Crellin, US's old operations guy, has been gone awhile now. So US was in dire need of an executive in that line of work -- hopefully one who is liked by employees.
