I am doing a little fun research here.
I am curious on how things changed with the introduction of different widebody aircraft on different routes and in different years.
I am looking at 1975, 1985, 1995, and 2005
From USA to CDG, LON, TYO, HKG
From Europe to NYC, SFO, TYO, HKG
From Asia to NYC, SFO, CDG, LON
I would need to know the carrier and the EQP used on the route.
The carriers can be anyone. If they operated a flight between the US and those four locations, then they count. Flights can be one-stop or non-stop. If they were one-stop, then please note so with a number.
Example
Year Carrier Route EQP Stops
1975 Pan Am JFK-LHR 747-100 0
1975 NWA SFO-NRT 747-100 1 (HNL)
Basically I am looking at how the DC-8, 707, DC-10, L-1011, MD-11, 747, 767, 777, A300, A310, A330, A340 have opened up new routes from new locations and for new carriers.
Can anyone help fill in this chart?
