Dear all,

From 22nd of December on, TAM will change the aircraft operations at MXP and CDG.

MXP will be operated with 02 frames and will become night flights operated with MD11.

CDG will continue to have 03 flights per day, but all of them with A332. So JJ8096/97 will no longer be operated with MD11 as it goes to MXP.

It was scheduled to MXP to operate with the A332 but due to very good loads of cargo out of MXP it was decided to keep the MD11 at MXP.

FRA is on track to start 30th November with A345.

If memory serves, the A345s will be coming from Air Canada.

A345? How can this make money? Fuel burn must be insane, and LH is powerful.

I guess the A345 fits their ops best ( Cockpit communality, etc ) and there is enough traffice for JJ and LH from FRA.  Smile They are coming from AC.

Any specific dates for the new services to MAD & MVD??

if they had the machines at discounted price, maybe there's amargin for profit + tanks will not be full at take off from GRU therefore lower fuel burn at T.O. (at least I believe....)  Wink

that's also a positive aspect towards profit

I forgot to mention that these birds available immediately. I guess it is much harder to get a 777 or a 332.  Smile

Although the A345 might not perform as well as the 77W, it's still a very modern and capable aircraft. I'd be largely surprised if the A345, with a similar payload, would consume more than a MD-11, for example. Besides that, the A345, with it's relatively high MTOW, will likely be able to carry a lot of cargo in it's hold. And LH is flying the A346, not such a different aircraft  Smile

And we could say that there´s plenty of room in the A340´s for cargo and a huge demand of it between Brazil - Germany.

Victor

MVD arround 20th of October and MAD possible to start 28th December...

The 77W will not go to CDG. The first 04 frames probably will fly to LHR and FRA and the A345 would move to MXP as the MD11 will keep in the fleet only until delivery of the B77W.

sorry but it's not too logical....
LHR just started once a day with A332 and FRA is starting 30/11/07 and will have to compete with LH.
the interest of FRA is that you have to be a star alliance member to benefit from the hub, so was RG and so is not JJ

on the other side CDG sees 3 flights a day an MD-11 + 2 A332 + there's a codeshare agreement with AF not only on GRU-CDG but also on connecting flights!

do you have a source indicating the 77W will start on FRA or LHR?

TAM will receive 04 frames and initially to LHR and than the other 02 to FRA.
