They also serve SEA with a 744, I believe year-round, with a 777 added during the high season. And I believe PHX still sees regular BA 744 services, as well.

BA LHR-PHX daily. I manage to catch a glimpse of it nearly every afternoon. She's the biggest bird we get to see at PHX on a regular basis.

Air India (FLT 137 I think) goes from FRA-LAX,although it originates in BOM.

Quoting Superfly (Reply 9): True but Mudboy was asking about 747 passenger service from Europe.
These flights serve the U.S. from LHR and FRA so technically they are from Europe (just on an Indian carrier)

Isn't LH still operating MUC-DEN with a 744, or is it to/from FRA?

From Chicago you can book a flight on AI to LHR or FRA, without continuing on to BOM.

Think that VS send their A346 to LAX and not the 744.

Quoting Nomadic (Reply 20): Two weeks ago I saw VS 744 land at BOS about 530pm. Not sure if it was from LHR or LGW
VS011 LHR-BOS converted to a 744 from a 346 on 31 August last although the flight on 13 September reverted for that day only to a 346.
It is possible to buy a tcket in the UK to fly trans-Atlantic with AI on, for example, their BOM-LHR-JFK flight and in the USA for the east bound return flight. So AI must be included amongst the airlines that provide a scheduled

UA SFO-SYD Boeing 744
UA also frequently puts a 744 LAX-DEN in place of a 777

25 Manny: True dat! MUC-DEN is operated with a A343. FRA-DEN is currently operated with A346.
26 Cory6188: EWR also gets a 744 from VS occasionally. It tends to rotate with the A346.
27 Viscount724: SYD is not in Europe. Please note the question in the thread-starter's first message.[Edited 2007-09-15 20:05:29]
28 RafflesKing: Gone are the days when PHL got 747 service. Until maybe 2 years ago, LH still sent a 744 but now sends A343. BA stopped sending 747s a few years back,
29 Bmacleod: The 70s, 80s and 90s were great 747s years for IAD. I guess 9/11 brought a big halt to D.C. 747s except for LH and UA. UA of course having a hub in D.
30 Flighty: LH sent that summer 744 because of a fight with US over PHL-FRA. US started a second daily flight PHL-FRA during that year. LH responded with a 744.
31 NW747-400: ATL - Daily 744's from KL and AF, in addition to freight service by Air China Cargo and Cathay Pacific, also on 744.
32 VV701: BA has three flights a day to IAD. BA225 and BA293 are operated by 772s but BA217 is a 744 service.
34 NWAESC: KL also runs one of their 2 daily JFK-AMS with a 747 (a combi, IIRC). The other trip is on an A330... Are we only talking passenger flights here? If
37 A380US: Well at JFK its as follows AF LH AI KL VS BA please add if i forgot a few or made mistakes
38 Iflyatldl: Well, it's not Europe, but KE has a ATL-ORD-ICN 747 that's been going for some years now. I never got the logic of that unless it's a range issue..
39 FlyMD: The ORD KE flight is now operated by 777 (ATL is still 744)
40 Iflyatldl: Hmmm.. So, MD, is it a nonstop? (I'm too lazy to Look).
41 FlyMD: ORD and ATL are both nonstop and it actually appears as though ATL is twice daily (744 and 777)
42 Iflyatldl: Wow, MD! Thanks for the info. Thats kinda a shocker. But our Korean community is growing, so who knows?
43 FlyMD: Yeah, I was kinda surprised myself but I guess the DL feed must doing well!
44 Iflyatldl: Yeah, I'd say it's a contributing factor. I always see the 744 fly over my house and always assumed it was bound for ORD.
45 CALMSP: we here in IAH are fortunate enough to see the KLM combi come through!!
46 Peteinmiami: Miami gets the following services to Europe BA- 744 to LHR twice or three times daily depending on the day AF - 744 to CDG daily VS - 346 once daily t
48 LHboyatDTW: As for DTW Concerning Europe, it's A330s galore *yawn* However, NW used to send the 744 on one of the DTW-AMS-DTW flights back in 2002-2003 I think. N
49 777ER: NZ1/2 will remain B744 till the B773ERs enter service from 2010
50 AlitaliaMD11: Currently operated by the 777-200. Air India has the 747-400 back on CDG-EWR.
51 NW747-400: Once daily 744 on KE and once daily 772 on DL, codeshare with KE.
52 FlyMD: I stand corrected. I did not even know that DL served ICN with their own metal.
53 Mexicana757: AF has A343 service to ORD. The only 747 AF offers to ORD is the cargo flight that arrives around 1030pm.
54 Boeing74741R: SFB enjoys 747 service from LGW, MAN, GLA and CWL courtesy of XL (on behalf of Travel City Direct), but for not much longer so if you're local to MCO/
