I believe the 787's flight control systems are being validated on a 777-200 Boeing is leasing from AA. Which aircraft is being used for these tests? And has this plane been repainted?
I ask because I saw what might have been an AA 777 wearing a Boeing-esque livery (flowing stripes along the length of the fuselage) over by the former Delta hanger at DFW on Sunday. I'm wondering if this was the aircraft.
I'd be a little surprised if they painted it for a relatively short duration, but on the other hand, I suppose AA might have wanted it out of their livery for the duration. If this was the test aircraft, was it being returned to AA?

The aircraft in question was never repainted and has been back with AA for nearly a year now.

Good to know as well. I wonder what it was I saw on Sunday. It might not have even been a Triple Seven -- I only caught a glimpse after rotation, and it was a large-ish tube with wings. The Boeing-esque livery made me wonder if that was the test platform being returned, but clearly not.
