My sister's suitcase did not arrive with her a few months ago. She had to wait one hour for the next BA flight to land to get the suitcase, even though they had 2 hours in London to transfer the bags.

They just sent her a letter saying they will credit her Mileage account 10,000 miles. It's a nice gesture. I wonder whether they will finally solve this problem. I believe they have one of the worst records for lost / delayed baggage through Heathrow. They say that when the new Terminal opens it will resolve the problems.

I know someone who had to wait 12 days for her checked bag to show up in GVA after a YUL-LHR-GVA trip in business class 4 or 5 years ago. She was very unhappy and BA finally gave her 50,000 extra Executive Club miles as compensation.

A family member flew BA and two other airlines to Addis back in December. One piece of uggage out of four was lost, and BA was the second airline on the 3-leg trip. For a whole month we called/went to the airport in Addis/made calls to YYC, LHR etc to no avail. Nadda. We all returned to our point of origin through the various ways at the begining of February. A week later, a phone call from BA at the point of origin - "is there a Mr SoAndSo? we have a piece of luggage here. No idea how it got here, must have arrived on the BA flight from LHR". No idea how it popped up, but it did. The trip tag was not attached, but the personal contact card was.

i had to wait 19 for my luggage!! days after YVR-LHR-GVA , 1 day before supposed compensation, not a call from them, no pound mile. Their stinky LHR terminal service is a DISASTER.
