From Yahoo:

"In a note to employees, Tilton said United's passenger unit revenue performance for the quarter is expected to be among the best in the industry."

Interesting to note that mainline capacity is expected to be down another 1.5 percent in Q3 and overall capacity down 1.2 percent.

Overall sounds like good times for UA though. Several quarters ago I would have never guessed.

Hmmm, revenue is up, but what about profits?! Oh yeah, and is passenger satisfaction up, too?! I, for one am happy that they're doing "well", but would like to see some of their success translate into friendlier service that at least doesn't feel as cheap as it does now.

I think it is time to start to reopen some US call centers.

Well according to the article RASM is growing more than CASM so that SHOULD translate into higher profits.

However, I agree that it needs to somehow translate into better customer service.

I agree, but doubt it will happen.
