According to this article, he's currently aboard US888 LAS-FLL. In coach no less. Apparently the media tried to buy the seat from someone seated behind him. What a zoo....

It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Interesting that he doesn't charter his own plane just to avoid this whole circus. The genius anchor on KLAS-TV in Las Vegas incorrectly identified OJ as flying on United Airways to FLL....which once again proves the media doesn't know jack about aviation.

Maybe he thought that flying Y class on US might help when his case comes to trial. He can argue that Y class on US Airways was already enough punishment and hope it convinces the judge to knock a year or two off his sentence.

I thought the same thing. But I'm sure his lawyer and publicist think the media scrum is a good idea.

Renting a jet shows that he has money to spare...and there's a civil judgement against him. If he appears to be broke and having to fly (gulp!) coach, it makes him appear poor and unable to make ANY payments.

And a Las Vegas TV anchor can't even get the name of airline right that HUBS in his city?

Believe it or not it was Gary Waddell during the 6PM News. Pretty rare slip up for one of Vegas' veteran anchors.

Enough about OJ. The guy doesn't deserve the bandwith. It was enough seeing his car driving down the freeway splattered all over the TV today. Blah! Shows the American media has nothing better to do than to sensationalize controversial celebrity (term used very lightly) events when their are much more important things going on in the world. Show me the jury verdict when they finally put this jackass away for years. Who cares about the rest.

But, I will say that this was pretty funny:

He traveled with his girlfriend, Christie Prody.. Wouldn't it have been a shame to assign them seats on opposite ends of the plane and give the papparazi the seat next to him?

(Also... any papparazi out there, his phone number and email addy were in the PNR... $20,000, any takers?)  Wink

I don't really see the point in this thread?!

Who really gives a toss that he is flying on a US flight?

Famous people fly on planes every day, it's not like it's an irregular occurance now is it!

Yes. The court did take his passport, so he cannot travel anywhere outside of the US. The court also said he can only travel in the lower 48 States, so no trips to Alaska or Hawaii.

It's up to the judge. They can order you to stay in the city, in the state, in the country, on earth, or in jail. They can also release you on bail and order you to stay away from people/places while on bail.

He can't be that rich anymore. Robert Shapiro and the late Johnnie Cochoran (and dont forget F. Lee Bailey) got most, or nearly all, of O.J.'s money. I bet he has a couple million socked away tops. Not able to afford private jets anymore I don't think. But who knows.
