Can 747-400 get much 'bigger' than this?

Interesting looking virtual tour:
http://vrfilm.tuiflynordic.se/

If you move the camera down at the first deck, you see a lonely seat there in front, kind of sad...

TUIFly Nordic flies it from Nordic cities to Thailand, for an example ARN-HEL-HKT.
The Premium Class looks quite nice actually, and the non stop service HEL-HKT sounds tempting, so that's one possibility for me to fly to SE Asia next winter if the price is right.

Actually what is the max seat capacity for 747-400? How tight seatings there are in use?

That's interesting, thanks. I wouldn't like to fly on this a/c, though!!! If they could, they would have made 3-5-3 layout!!!

Well the record for a 747 is something like 1087 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Solomon) but I guess that no everyone had a seat - I wonder what that take-off run was like - quite long I'd imagine!

The only think I like about this aircraft is the single seat in the front! But as I know myself I would fly on the aircraft just to fly with TuiFly once my life.

Thanks for this video.  Smile

....have to say QR still sounds 'slightly' more tempting, despite the double flying time - but it's good to be curious  Wink

Yes I saw this a few weeks back. The upper deck Premium Y looks nice , although I have been told by another Anetter who has been on board that its not that great. I guess it would be better than cattle class.

I can imagine the Premiun Class video looks better than what the reality is... still could try with the right price, seems like pretty much sold out though.

Of course it's a charter carrier, nothing more, but they do have three different service levels with different seating - sounds like different classes to me.

Yes kind of . More like a scheduledcarriers Premium Y but I have to say the seat pitch looks quite good for a charter. I think these seats get booked up really quickly as the upgrade I believe is only around $100 each way!!! Well worth it on a flight to HKT.

The rear of the upper deck is just normal Y class but I think they charge around $30 each way as its still got less people in the cabin and quieter.

The single seat at the front down stairs look novel. At least its got leg room LOL....

I would only go on that AC if it was on a block on 2 seats on the Premium class upstairs!!

What's the seatpitch on SS's 744s? Something tells me it's below 30", and combined with a sardine can style 3-4-3 configuration, I wouldn't be crazy to fly on such a 747.

Souriez, (mais pas trop, car il faut voyager sans les jambes si) vous êtes sur Corsair! (Smile, (but not for long because you'll have to fly without your legs if) you're with Corsair!)

Its between 30" and 32" in economy, the majority being around 31".

All the seats were pulled out of the aircraft. Whether that compensated for the extra weight I dont know. I also doubt there was much cargo aboard.

NH has 569 (27/542) on their 744Ds.

1,122 was the actual headcount when they landed in Israel. Incredible! The flight set a world record for single-flight passenger load!

Corsair is a charter airline and they do not offer 3 classes !

Corsair's B744 offer 24 seats in the classe "Grand Large" in the 4 first front rows at the upper deck.
The "Grand Large" class is more or less equivalent to a standard Economy class on a regular airline.
All the other 558 seats are a single "M" class.

Beside their fleet of 6 B744 (F-GTUI, F-HSUN, F-HSEA, F-HSEX, F-HKIS, F-HLOV), they also operate 2 A330-200 (F-HCAT, F-HBIL) configured with 350 seats ( 18 seats in the "Grand Large" class and 332 seats in the rest of "economy").
