For all YYZ spotters, JAL will be flying in this Saturday afternoon (I think around 1400LT) for a charter with Japaneese tour operators, travel agents and VIPs to promote the Toronto and Montreal market for tourists in Japan. So be ready and have the cameras waiting! Also, did anyone catch the ATA B757-300 on Sunday?? It goes out again tomorrow from YYZ

Good luck to them. I do relations with the area north of Montreal and it is hard to get people in this area to even think about Canada as any other place but Vancouver.

Hope this leads to AC reinstating NGO and KIX flights or maybe just helping me do my business better.

I look forward to the photos too. Is the plane just going to YYZ or will it take people to YUL as well?

Yes...I am not a KIX fan. Let's Japanese Aviation!

Actually it was a 757-200, here's a picture I took of her:

Also, the JAL is coming on Sunday, and TODAY (Wednesday) at about 5:30.

The second one is scheduled to be an old colors 747, JA8085.

Subject to change of course.

I like British Airways! I'm not sure why, but I do! ;-)

Its actually going to be Saturday...We are handling the flight in YYZ, and the flight today (Wednesday) is YUL bound as far as I know.

Sorry, I meant Saturday. But I do believe there is a flight today as well.

Let's wait and see!

Well, isn't it about time for those fall foliage charters.
Here in most of Japan its stil in the 80s (or 30s on the centigrade scale).

I do believe this part of the annual charters to see the fall colours.

There was in fact one of these JAL charter flights that arrived in YUL yesterday (Sept. 25th). Lots of pics of her visit via the following link: http://www.yulaviation.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=13309

I don't know about the YYZ schedule but I do know that JAL will be sending three more 744 charters to YUL on the following dates:

Monday, October 1st
JAL8026 NAGOYA - MONTREAL Arrvial: 9:00am
JAL8803 MONTREAL - OSAKA Departure: 11:00am

Wednesday, October 3rd
JAL8804 FUKUOKA - MONTREAL Arrival: 11:05am
JAL8803 MONTREAL - FUKUOKA Departure: 1:05pm

Thursday, October 11th
JAL8026 NARITA - MONTREAL Arrival: 10:25am
JAL8803 MONTREAL - NAGOYA Departure: 12:25pm

Too soon for that in Toronto. It reached 33 Celsius (91F) at YYZ yesterday. If you go a few hundred miles north of here the trees will have changed into their fall colours.

What are you referring to re KIX? I can't see any indication that AC is ending their current YVR-KIX service.

I think back in 1994 when KIX opened, AC flew for a while between KIX-YYZ. Perhaps he is talking about this service? On a side-note, did they operate NRT-YYZ alongside this service? Or was it operated because only CP had access into Narita?

Yes I think you're right. AC's original service to Japan was to KIX only as CP served NRT and the Japanese government wouldn't permit 2 Canadian carriers at NRT.

It may be too early weatherwise, but JA8079 touched down this evening at around 5pm....
