That would be great to see the F-100 back in production - greatest airliner ever if you ask me! But boeing has a massive head start and I think the impact on their sales would be minimal. What would be a real moneymaker for a Fokker would be the millions of spare parts they could sell. Fokker parts are getting harder to find these days forcing many airlines to retire they're fleets earlier than needed.

The rumour is that a Chinese manufacture, Hutchinson Whampoa and good old Mr Joep van de Nieuwenhuyzen (this is his second attemt to bring some live in Fokker) try to set up Fokker again. According to some reports the Chinese aren't happy about the fact that they don't have much to do. Personnaly, I don't expect too much, but would love to see some new Fokkers (allthough they'll be built in China). But we'll see. The deadline is 30th June 2001 and then we'll hear probabl;y more (or nothing if it doesn't work out).
