I did not mix the schedule up as I was refering to UTC times and not local times.
The flying time of 14H29min was based on the flying time I got from the flight plan.
U are refering to the block time of 15HRS 30MINS.

Quoting QatarA340 (Reply 4):

U are right, the rush here in Dubai is at about 00H00 local time, so its a good time for the flight to arrive in Dubai for the conecting flights.

Yes it is. GRU is still busy at that time and it offers good connections from DXB.  Smile

I thought that this was the departure time from GRU with arrival in DXB of 23.05 - is this still a good time for connections at DXB?

Does this new route make EK be the first airline to have non stop flights to all continents (exl Antactica, duh!) ?
I can't think of any other airline who does, maybe Malaysian but they make a stop over in South Africa before flying to South America.

Go in to EKs web site and check the flight status.

They show a departure time of 10:01 and a estimate arrival time of 17:56.

An interline agreement with TAM to allow them to sell GIG and EZE where they also established sales representatives.
