Quoting QatarA340 (Reply 4): Actually, its a good time to arrive since there are many connecting flights to other destinations.
I did not mix the schedule up as I was refering to UTC times and not local times.
The flying time of 14H29min was based on the flying time I got from the flight plan.
U are refering to the block time of 15HRS 30MINS.

Does this new route make EK be the first airline to have non stop flights to all continents (exl Antactica, duh!) ?
I can't think of any other airline who does, maybe Malaysian but they make a stop over in South Africa before flying to South America.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Quoting Santosdumont (Reply 17): Anybody have any idea if/how this bird could be tracked?
Go in to EKs web site and check the flight status.
They show a departure time of 10:01 and a estimate arrival time of 17:56.

Quoting Santosdumont (Reply 19): Do you happen to know how one could find the actual route?
No, flightaware doesn't work and aeroseek dont show the flight map.
29 Adicool: Does EK have Portuguese and Spanish speaking F/As on this flight?
30 LHUSA: Any one know how the loads are on the flight today or for the first couple of weeks?
31 Dirkou: AirNav RadarBox Network covers Sao Paulo so you can track it with that system. See www.airnavsystems.com/radarbox
32 Emirates2005: Sir...welcome to my respected list. Regards, Emirates2005
33 KissK: for a start up load not bad... other starts 7 hours flights wiz A319-100LR ... Yeah I know A319 will not fly DXB/GRU non stop
34 123: I cannot reply for THIS flight, but EK does have Spanish speaking crew, several of my friends who used to work at LB are now with EK.
35 Avianca: well I think they are not to high, as they are still selling special ex Europe via DXB to GRU, for example next week MUC-DXB-GRU and back for 900 EUR
36 Ikramerica: what a ridiculous routing. adds 3500nm vs. a stop in Europe.
37 A389: Sure they do!...there's a considerable number of Brazilians and a few Portuguese (that i know off) here working for EK... actually some of them are q
38 RJ_Delta: Is possible to find the Flight Plan of the return flight? Thanks.
39 LipeGIG: EK is negotiating with RG to use their lounge. JJ is not able to do this because it's lounge is not enough even for their flights. RG in the other han
40 Avianca: yes ridiculous, not only the routing also the price, its cheaper with them as using LH for example...
41 PU752: Is SBGL Galeao always the alternate for SBGR? Thought it was CWB or is this the 2nd ?
42 LTU932: If I read that flightplan correctly, GIG is the prime alternate. It may have something to do with the routing of the aircraft. If it comes further fr
43 LipeGIG: Yes it is GIG, CWB is not able to handle the 777 so if they need a second one should be VCP (Campinas) or CNF (Belo Horizonte). GIG is the best one b
44 Cactus739: That's a lot of pilots and FA's on one flight....
45 Emirates2005: Are there any pictures of the flight at GRU??? Have tried searching the net, but wasn't lucky... Thanks and regards, Emirates2005
