Im travelling on standby from London to Auckland and can only fly on Virgin Atlantic to Shanghai or Tokyo Narita. I was just wondering where i should go to stand a better chance of getting on the Air NZ flight to Auckland. I know PVG is quite a new service, how are they doing on this route..was thinking that maybe as its new it might be quite quiet still..loads wise?? Also can anybody advise me of Air New Zealand flight loads? Cheers

depends when you want to go , take in to account at the end of trhe month the airlines change to winter and summer times - NRT would work out better for you tho, but its up to you. either one you get a tripple 7 to akl,

Just a few things PVG is not daily so if you miss a flight you could have a few days wait .. Also some of the NRT flights go via CHC and KIX to AKL so the flight time can be longer ..

I'd recommend NRT purely for the fact that its more frequent... also if you needed to you could just catch a train/short flight to KIX and catch an NZ flight from there if you had to.
