Easyjet is declaring some good war over there! Even to my company, Vueling on the Venice route..
I'm sure that they will fill their flights as there is a very big demand of low costs in Paris.. Let's see how it works out!

cheers  Wink

Perhaps important to say is that CDG and LYS are easyJet's two new bases.

Wow... AF is not going to like it. EZ is gaining momentum on the French domestic market and those 2 new bases are the very two AF hubs. Jean-Cyril must be upset. I am not sure of how good it is though, as I was already able to get pretty good fares on these routes, but that might be only for people under 25. I sincerely hope that won't effect LYS hub as this is a nice efficient hub with comparatively few destinations, and I am secretely wishing to work over there from January on.

I'm disappointed that they didn't choose to expand here in TLS...  frown

A second daily flight to MAD would rock, their flights to LGW and ORY are very popular, and I'm sure some new routes would have been possible... maybe next time.  crossfingers

In any case it's great to see someone seriously threating AF's far too dominant position in the French domestic market. Hooray for competition!

What will happen to their operation at ORY though? They have quite a bit going on there. Will it stay or be moved to CDG? Why do they operate at both airports anyway? Obviously it has to make sense to them for some reason, but I don't know why it could be.

EZ base at ORY will stay and probably grow within the next few years...

Why does EZY have bases in LGW, STN, and LTN? Different catchment areas, appealing to a wider amount of people, airport growth limitations, etc.

They should start at least 2 daily CDG-AMS-CDG. (or out of ORY). With only AF/KL operating these flights, I'm pretty sure that the demand for some low-cost service is high enough.
Vueling tried to do it, with one flight at bad times of the day, which didn't work apperently.
