Hey!
Don't you think that some Airlines have great music in their advertisements?
I know:
Cathy Pacific-"Four Seasons"
British Airways-"Aria" or "Flower Duet"
Does anyone know the names for exaple Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines.....this will be interesting.

Air New Zealand - Pokarekareana (sp???) That's one nice song. It used to be 'Your the Wind Beneath My Wings' in the early 90s...
I saw a UAL advert at the cinema the other day, couldn't identify the music though (it made me think, too, its not very often UAL advertise here in NZ...)

Hey you Kiwi guys
I just checked out Pokarekare Ana on Napster...as sung in the Air NZ ads. It sounds ok, but I still prefer the full version which is from on one of the Rugby albums; it has the Haka before the song....sounds wicked....must have been at Eden Park I suppose.

Delta Airlines used a song from Adiemus a for a long time (don't know if they still do). I believe the title of the song was Adiemus too but I'm not sure. I have it on CD at home, I will look it up next weekend. Quite a nice song BTW...

HI!
small contribution from me, Air France's theme song is a Chemical Brothers' classic, which name I don't know. Boarding ambiance musics include a wide choice ranging from Vivaldi to Austin Power's soundtrack!
welcome aboard...

I really like the "its a kind of magic" one of cathays, a VERY relaxing song. There is also some blues in the SIA with the southern man singing..."Singapore girl, you're a greaaaat way to Flyyyyyyyy!"

No the Cathay Song is not "its a kind of magic" its called "Four Seasons", I got this from a guy who is the head of public relations, hes a friend of my dads.
The song title makes sense because if u see the advert, it shows all the seasons!
Its a great song, i love it!.
Who liked the old cathay pacific song when they introduced the new colours "Celebrating the new colours of Cathay Pacific, the airline that IS the Heart of Asia"

PUnmuth@VIE is pretty close. That would be "(Love Lift Us) Up Where We Belong", a duet originally by Jennifer Warnes and Joe Cocker. We talked about that in the Non-aviation Forum at a given point, if memory serves right. It was in relation with the rather nice movieclips and ads you can download on LH's Website.
