On Board Theft In AA First?!?!

Few days ago I was in F on AA to HNL, middle aisle seat. One of last to board, saw one window bulkhead and asked FA if I could sit there. She said no b/c reserved for crew rest seat. I asked if I could sit there for t/o and landing only, she said fine. After I sit down, couple boards, 2 seats next to me (2 aisles across from each other). guy asks if I would move so they could sit together, I replied it was a crew rest seat and I was only sitting there for t/o. Then I make an important business call b/f door closes, while I'm on the phone a second (senior) FA sees me and "barks" at me to move back to my assigned seat. The couple, and -- forgive me -- the nasty witch sitting next to them, then start shouting at me to get off the phone and move. I knew they didn't know why the second FA told me to move, and they simply decided on their own that I should return to my assigned seat so they could rearrange as they saw fit (even though none of them were assigned to the crew rest seat anyway). I finish my call with the shouting at me, get up, tell the witch lady to zip it, and take my assigned seat (directly behind said witch). Then witch takes the seat I had just left so the couple could be together in the middle. Second FA sees witch in the crew rest seat and orders her back to her assigned seat too (which she does though not undrstanding why).

After t/o, second FA comes over to me and apologizes and says the first FA should not have let me sit there. She said she understood I asked permission and therefore apologized, which was the right thing to do and much appreciated.

Here's where it becomes strange. The couple plus witch in front of me looked at me and were still talking about me after t/o. I go to sleep and lay my glasses right on the headrest shelf 2 inches from my head (lay flat, contained shell seat on this AA 767). Wake up 20 min later, glasses gone. Assumed they fell down in to the bowels of the seat. Lifted the cushions, second FA (now my best friend) gives me a flashlight, no sign anywhere. She just emailed me that she personally supervised a mechanic search at HNL and back at ORD, but nothing turned up. Only other possibility is someone skillfully lifted them walking by while I was asleep, and no one saw it.

Obviously can't prove anything but seems a little coincidental. Actually I am deeply grateful to AA for great treatment on this trip, esp upgrades, but those other 3 pax were obnoxious lowlifes at best, and one may be a "thief for revenge" to boot.

Sorry to hear about your missing glasses. I just got reimbursed from TSA because my portable DVD player is missing from my checked baggage (Although I think that an AA employee stole it out of there because there wasn't a little TSA tag in my suitcase saying that they inspected it). Anyway, im glad that the AA Flight Attendant helped you find the glasses even though you never got them back.
