Hi guys,

My first post here so go easy on me  Smile. Have been watching the forums for some years now and have finally decided to join.

My question is..when will AT receive their first 787? I have searched but haven't been able to find out an approximate date of delivery to RAM.

On boeing website it states it will be delivered in "late 2008", but taking into account the boeing 6 month delay how will this affect the delivery schdule ?

Thanks in advance. Big grin

They are tasked to receive LN5 and LN6, which are both test frames. So likely late 2008.

So the dates remain unaffected from the 6 month delay ?

They will get their aircraft when the orders in front of them are filled. Its just that simple!

Due to refurb, I'd guess that these two frames will be ready for delivery in 2009, and not earlier since they have to take part in the flight test program, and reburbing six aircraft will take a little while (up to a month per aircraft.) The original plan was to deliver them in 2008.

Well they will be later then originally planned because of that delay, but Boeing might very well wrap up the test and certification program earlier - even with the delay - which would mean those planes would then be refitted earlier and delivered earlier.

I have it in my head that Royal Air Maroc is one of the ones that Boeing said wouldn't be affected by the delay, but I can't find any documentation on that.

Actually, it's not. RAM's planes are out-of-sequence deliveries therefore aren't pinned to the final assembly rate.

Tom.
